Zulu Pot - 168.1 Andile Dyalvane This example has hands carvedA traditional South African Zulu pot, made entirely by hand Originating in South Africa, the Zulu pot known as an ukhamba has long held an honoured place in Zulu life, traditionally used to brew, store and serve beer. Each is hand shaped from clay dug along local riverbanks, smoothed by hand, and fired in an open pit. That age old process gives every vessel a warmth of tone and depth of character that no factory piece can match. As a hand built, wood
