There are faint manufacturer and size marks stamped inside

It is a very early example with rayon suspension

It is an INERT (of course) 40MM Brass shell. It measures 16 inches (41. 91 cm) tall with its gray painted wooden tip. This is very nicely marked and dated 1944 on the bottom. This is a great looking piece.
