Malawi Rattan side table - handmade table Create your own fun wallA handmade Malawi side table, woven from rattan strips into intricate patterns along the sides and top. Rather than the glue or nails common in European furniture, the makers secure every strip with traditional knots. Each takes an artisan several days to weave. As these are bespoke and handmade by several different artisan groups, every piece is slightly individual occasionally one may have a small wobble, easily corrected with stick on felt pads
