When firm, the taste is rather like a melon; when fully soft, the flesh is pudding soft and richly sweet. The Fuyu style fruit is round, squat and flat with a glossy, orange skin and sweet, mild flesh. The trees have a graceful, layered form and glossy, medium green leaves during the growing season.
