Participants with hepatic impairment must have been on a stable dose of medication or treatment regimen (e.g., no new medications and no changes to current medications within 14 days of screening) and were excluded if they had clinical signs of acute hepatitis, records of biliary obstruction or other causes of hepatic impairment not related to parenchymal disorders or diseases, a history of hepatic encephalopathy Grade 3 or presence of hepatic encephalopathy Grade 2, gastroesophageal varices not managed according to standard of care for patients with cirrhosis or with bleeding within 90 days prior to screening, acute or exacerbation of chronic liver failure or history of liver transplantation
