Please place the following USCL items in your commingled recycling bins: Newspaper, ads and inserts, direct mail, magazines, and catalogues Office paper and kraft paper, including paper bags Flattened cardboard and packaging boxes, including empty and clean pizza boxes Non-metallic gift wrap Paperback books Paperboard/cardboard egg cartons Aseptic containers (such as milk cartons or shelf stable soymilk containers) Plastic bottles and jugs, round containers, buckets, and rigid plant pots (Caps OK if screwed on) Steel and aluminum cans Scrap metal (less than 10 pounds and 18 inches) Items that are NOT accepted in our recycling stream: Fridge or freezer boxes (such as from frozen meals) Take out containers/boxes and single use cups/disposable coffee cups and lids Shredded paper Aerosol cans Foil Plastic bags Hoses, cords, or wires If you are unsure whether or not an item is recyclable, you can find out by visiting Lane Countys Waste Wise tool, which allows you to enter an item into the database and find out how to recycle or dispose of it
