Inside Cell Colour:Raw This was the staff welfareA cell from Female Ward 9 inside Callan Park, photographed in 2019 after the Sydney College of the Arts had vacated the Kirkbride Complex. Peeling paint and worn surfaces surround a small window that frames a sliver of outside world, a reminder of what the pavilion type layout was meant to provide: light, air, and the therapeutic promise of the grounds beyond.
