Found in an envelope shown. Canon City, Colorado was laid out on January 17, 1858, during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. Not sure what the dates on the envelops mean, possibly the approximate date this man died? but this tintype is definitely early 1860s. Tintype is uncased behind mat and glass and in Good antique condition. Surface looks a little bumpy or rough
