Copper John Fly Succulent Ink drawing of a beeThis mayfly inspired fly was drawn in colored pencil, hand cut out, and attached with fishing line into a foam box I hand built. The background and walls of foam box are painted with blue and black India Ink. The Copper John is a fast sinking nymph highly effective for catching trout during sprint, fall, and winter months. It works well in WNC rivers like the Davidson River because it mimics stoneflies and mayflies. This artwork comes framed by Alicia
