The drilled holes and machined grooves give the gas and dust released from the pad face somewhere to escape under heavy braking

It seats into the bumper aperture around the fog lamp, finishing the opening and locating the lamp within the front bumper and radiator grille assembly. This is the left hand (LH) bezel; the right hand equivalent is LR003870.
