Porcelain shade impressed with chinese lanterns

Natural porcelain body with cobalt blue and brown glaze

Hazy Summer - Medium blowing in the wind Natural porcelain body with darkThis medium porcelain pendant shade has been impressed with lavender and grasses. In the kiln the porcelain has warped along the stems of the lavender flowers and it has split at certain places allowing more light to escape where the porcelain has parted, creating a flared effect at the rim of the shade. The clay body has been stained pink, which becomes stronger as more light is let through the shade. I have used forest green and sepia glaze stains
