It opens closes well and the hinge is in good order. The total weight is 5. 29g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). It has the glass and metal shim on one side. The top bail has worn with use, see pictures
