TME stromal cells include endothelial cells (blood vessels), as well as inter-related cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), and pericytes, which all share certain characteristics and plasticity, being able to interconvert and differentiate into different cell types [12, 13]
There are some medications which are used for other indications but that have modest effect in lowering uric acid levels, such as losartan (Cozaar), used for hypertension, and fenofibrate (Tricor), used for elevated triglycerides, but these only infrequently can sufficiently lower uric acid level
